Hello all and happy new year! I hope your Holiday season was enjoyable! For 2016 I am looking to revise a lot of my products and improve the shopping experience here on the website. One area of focus was the simplification of the ordering process. Specifically, it was too hard to order shocks, then a rebuild, and then yet again piecemeal various modifications and other features. It was an arduous process and you ended up with a shopping cart full of products that had no cohesive feel. To aid in this I have created a new product, that being the Fully Built Shock Package.
This package is a big deal, and here is why. It let’s you sort through the various modifications and features all in one place. Instead of getting lost in the minute of the website the tools are now all laid out right in front of you. Of course the modifications are still available a la carte, but for those looking for a complete shock package you can now do it all in one place. The prices range from $185 to $318 depending on the size and feature you purchase. Shipping is, as always, just $10.

Chris, I found out about you on cb1100f.net and have been looking around the web gathering information. I own a 1982 CB750F and am repurposing it to a café bike; no intent to race but am looking for better handling performance as I do teach motorcycle safety and ride my own bike in some classes (Total Control Intermediate Riding Clinic and MSF Advanced RiderCourse). I am also looking forward to taking Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic and doing a track day this year on the CB.
I don’t have the actual weight of the bike but can get it for you; with gear, my weight adds 195 lbs. I can measure the stock (Honda VHD) length and get that to you. The bike also has the stock front springs (don’t want to change forks but will be adding a fork brace) so your guidance for a spring setup would be appreciated.
Let me know what info you need to enable the purpose of a set of your rebuilt RFY rear shock and front springs, if you have those available.

Hi Curt,
Thanks for getting a hold of me.
I have done a good number of setups for CB750’s. They tend to work very well. I’ll send you an email and we can discuss the specifics further.

Chris

Chris,
I am look to do a project. 2003 sportster scrambler. I need 15 3/4 – 16 in rear shocks. The bike weight 491 lbs and I am 260 lbs. Could you put a set of shock together that will work for my application and what would the price be. I am going to use the bike on/off like a dual sport, to run down logging roads and light off road.
Chris
Hi Frank,
We can do a 385mm or 400mm shock and that gets you in your length range. And we can do a 120lbs/inch spring which should be right on for your bikes weight. Price would be in the 260-275 range. I’ll send you an email.
Regards,
Chris

Will these work with a CB900F?
Chris
They will, though it depends on what length you need and what weight your bike and rider combo are. I’ll send you an email.

Chris,
I have a pair of the gold rfy shocks on a GL 1100. The left one apparently bottomed out on the caliper and broke the air valve off of it. Do you rebuild the shocks and if so how much and where do I send them?
