Description
Improve the intake path on your Suzuki GT750 with inlet-spigot welding and machining tailored to your carburetor choice. This modification straightens and shortens the intake tract to help improve airflow and support increased horsepower, while providing additional carburetor float-bowl clearance above the transmission.
What the modification involves
The original inlet stubs are built up with weld, then machined to revise their angle and mounting geometry. The inlet passages are machined to suit the selected carburetors and inlet rubbers, creating a more direct transition into the cylinder block.
Before and after
The stock photo shows how the original passage wall obscures much of the divided inlet openings. In the machined example, those openings are more directly visible through the inlet. This comparison illustrates the straighter intake path; the finished geometry is tailored to the intended carburetor setup.
Benefits
- A straighter, shorter intake path.
- Inlet geometry matched to the intended carburetor setup.
- Improved flow potential to support a performance engine build.
- Additional carburetor float-bowl clearance above the transmission.
Scope and pricing
$430 for inlet-spigot welding and machining on your supplied GT750 cylinder block. Carburetors and inlet rubbers are not included. Final hand-porting and blending farther into the cylinder toward the liners are separate, optional services billed hourly.
Power gains and clearance depend on the carburetors, engine specification, and installation. Contact me before shipping your cylinder block so we can confirm its condition, the carburetor size and type, mounting requirements, and the scope of work.
